Alicia Johan

Hi there, I'm Alicia Johan, and I am from Indonesia. I'm Dutch Indonesian by race. I am a 19-year-old student majoring in Culinary management (Hons) at UOW Malaysia, where I study the variety of the food industry. Speaking English, Indonesian, Malay, Dutch, Mandarin, and with a basic understanding of French, I am multilingual and have a strong interest in a variety of languages and cultures. I entered the "Miss Tourism" Beauty Pageant in 2020 and placed among the top 15 contestants by showcasing my poise and confidence. In 2019 I enrolled in a three-week baking and pastry short course offered by Indonesia's Harum Manis Bakery in order to improve my culinary abilities. I also took a one-day online training on birthday cake decorating from the renowned First Bakery in Indonesia to further refine my skills. My culinary expertise has expanded as a result of these encounters, which have also given me a passion for food presentation and a dedication to lifelong learning. And I also have a big passion in graphic designing and writing. Previously at high school, I was the one responsible for making posters and writing magazines to be displayed at almost every event.
